Millie's Kitchen Deli & Bakery

      Mildred Owens was fortunate to be raised by a mother who loved the kitchen or at least mastered it by feeding 7 children! Millie, as she prefers to be called, learned many kitchen skills helping at home, but also by working in her father’s restaurant business. Desserts and pies were a favorite of their customers and that influence has found a place in the Wallace & Owens Deli and Bakery departments. After her marriage to Larry Wallace in 1951, Millie worked beside Larry in the family grocery stores, until their first son was born.  Millie’s Kitchen has adapted many favorite recipes for salads, desserts and cakes for the exclusive enjoyment of our customers. When you see an item with the Millie’s Kitchen label, you can be sure it will be fresh and delicious and only found at your Wallace & Owens stores.
